Wendy Miller, MA, LPC-S

Wendy brings over twenty years of counseling experience, including co-owning and managing a large group counseling practice in Dallas, Texas. Prior to her degree in counseling, Wendy worked in Christian ministry with teenagers and their families in Highland Park and University Park. After graduate school, Wendy became  a founding partner and co-owner of Sparrow House Counseling where she spent 13 years helping to grow and manage the thriving practice. In 2023, Wendy decided to step away from her role at Sparrow House Counseling to establish Peak One Counseling. Her motivation lies in a commitment to elevating the quality of care and focus she provides to both her clients and team members.

Wendy is captivated with the intricacies and profound depths of life, showing genuine concern for each individual's distinctive experience and the nuances that shape their perspective. With a natural ability to create a supportive space, Wendy finds fulfillment in accompanying individuals on their path of healing, self-discovery and personal growth. By integrating her professional training and extensive experience with her innate talents, she fosters a professional environment characterized by a gentle and patient presence. In this nurturing and supportive setting, clients can explore their unique narratives, uncover healing, and gain insight into the patterns that may have hindered their progress, ultimately empowering them to move forward and become the people they aspire to be.

Wendy received her Master’s Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and acquired a foundation of clinical experience in trauma while working on the trauma floor at a local Dallas hospital. Since her graduate work, Wendy has pursued all the course work required for a certification in Christian Sex Therapy from The Institute of Sexual Wholeness. Wendy has completed an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Externship to support her work with couples. Wendy also has extensive training in the Enneagram and is a Certified Narrative Enneagram Practitioner through The Narrative Enneagram.
